DIGITAL PRESENTATION

Here is a template for your digital presentation!

The Science Fair may be physical or digital this year. You may submit your project as a poster, PowerPoint presentation or in Google Slides. Those wanting to attend the Regional Science Fair will need to submit a research paper as well a as video presentation of your project. Click here for a Google Document template to get you started.

Choosing a topic for your project can be difficult. Projects that can be found with a Google search are not what judges are looking for.

This document explains why certain topics should be avoided. It also describes additional forms and necessary procedures needed for some projects.

CONSENT INFORMATION

Online surveys require Informed Consent (from human research participants age 18 and older) and Minor Assent (from participants under age 18).

Every human must provide written consent.

ABSTRACT

EVERY project needs an abstract.

An abstract is a brief summary of your project and is used to help the judge quickly review your project.

CATEGORIES

For the NC fair

The chances of your project advancing in each round of the fair increase if your project is in a category that is often avoided by most students.

JUDGING

Judging sheet

This form is what judges will use to judge your work at the county and state fairs. This is not necessarily the same sheet that will be used to grade your work by your teacher.

The second link is a checklist. Anything missing from this list could result in your project's disqualification.
